♻👖 Fashion
My Fashion style is inspired by creativity and finding new & sustainable ways to express myself and my personality. I like to use what I already have and find exciting ways of styling my clothing into something completely new, without having to buy.
🐺🎧 Music
I listen to a vast variety of music , I’m a dancer so I try to listen to everything but my top 3 favourite genres at the moment are Neo Soul/ R&B, Jazz and Hip Hop. My favourite artist actually is Tyler, the Creator. I really love his music but most importantly that he is unapologetically himself and stays true to his identity. He also doesn’t limit himself creatively. He ventures into a variety of artistic forms and I feel like I can really relate to him in that sense.
🎨🙃 Art
I really love all forms of art honestly but my favourite would have to be abstract art. I feel like it’s more unique. It’s very creative and breaks away from the norms of realism. I also get the opportunity to see the personality of the artist behind the work more clearly. It’s more direct, which I really love.
👽💚 Film
My favourite film of all time is Shrek!! All the Shreks actually. I just think they’re so funny and well produced. My favourite character is Donkey, what a goated character forreal. Shrek also reminds me to relax and not take life too seriously, life is supposed to be enjoyed. So when I get the chance to rest, I will turn on Netflix and watch Shrek.
📚🎭 Books
I really love the book ‘Creative Hustle: Blaze your own path and make work that matters’. It’s such a great read and I highly recommend it. It’s such a motivating book and you get to read some advice from other OG’s in the creative industry and read about their journey and how they discovered their purpose in life. Unfortunately at the moment, I no longer have the luxury of being able to read as many books of my choosing because of uni but when I get the time, I’m definitely going to continue reading books of the same calibre.
🍝🥗 Food
I love raviolli, it’s soo good!!! Ravioli can never do me wrong. If you love me, you’ll buy me Raviolli. Especially the Spinach Ricotta one. If you’re ever indecisive about what to eat or you’re having a bad day, get yourself some Raviolli. You’ll thank me later :)
🌍🌊 Travel & Lifestyle
I don’t travel that much, except when I go visit my Grandma in Eastern Cape but my dream would be exploring the entire African continent. I really value understanding your roots and where you come from, so I want to prioritise seeing Africa first before exploring the rest of the world , and also experiencing the beauty of this continent first hand. In terms of lifestyle, I would say I live a pretty healthy lifestyle. I am Christian so I pray regularly and I like to spend time with my friends and family. I don’t really go out much but this year I made a promise to myself to enjoy my life a bit more. I don’t always have to be working. It’s okay to take a break.
🛐💪 Tips with audience
No dream is too big and always trust God’s timing and his direction for you. I used to believing in chasing your dreams but I feel like if your meant for something it will happen. I more so view it as stepping into your destiny, rather than a chase. Each step you take towards your goal(s) is meant to be and it will happen, no matter how big or small the dream you have is. You just need to trust God’s timing and be patient enough to believe that it will happen, because it will.
