🤣💔 Fleabag
If there’s one show I think everyone should watch, it’s Fleabag. (IYKYK!)
It’s an adaptation of a play starring, and written, by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. How something can be so hilarious, heartbreaking and absolutely unhinged all at once is beyond me. I’ll never shut up about it.
Give the self-improvement pod a day off and normalise podcasts that make your brain rot. ❤️ Emergency Intercom by Enya Umanzour and Drew Phillips is exactly the pick-me-up you need. The whole thing feels like overhearing a silly ass conversation between two best friends and then realising they’re comedic gods.
☁️🕶 Sunglasses in any weather condition
I’ve become such a sunglasses person it’s ridiculous. My one fashion tip would be to throw on a pair of sunnies – they elevate every look. The more colourful/ bitchy, the better. I think they’ve even tricked people into thinking I’m cool.
Mac Miller is the love of my musical life and has been for over a decade. While picking favourites from his discography is tough, I feel his 2014 ‘Faces’ mixtape deserves more adoration. It’s easily one of his best projects but unfortunately sees him at one of his darkest points, with a chilling number of references to death and addiction. "A shame that my tragedy my masterpiece"
🍳☕️ Cute CPT spots
(Sorry if you live somewhere else lol) – My whole personality at this point is cute cafes and I’m not mad about it. There are too many to mention but a few I’ve been enjoying lately: Judd’s Local, Company Garden’s Restaurant, New York Bagel (of course)
Which brings me to my next rec…
💐💌 Solo dates
What can I say, I’m a soft gal. I love a good solo date. Get cute. Get yourself some fresh flowers. Go somewhere pretty. It’s magical, really.
📝💅🏼 2000s romcoms set in New York with journalist women protagonists
Big fan, got to be one of my favourite genres.
Think: The Devil Wears Prada, 13 Going on 30, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Sex and the City, Never Been Kissed, etc. etc. etc.
💄✨ Dilly Dally Vanity by Luigi Massoni
My absolute dream interior piece, if anyone would be so kind (suggestively). She’s perfect!
Speaking of interiors…
One of my favourite YouTube channels of all time is Never Too Small! It’s a “video channel dedicated to small footprint design and living; featuring award-winning designers and their tiny/micro apartments, studios and self-contained projects.” Each video is so relaxing, inspiring, and unique. Kudos to the creatives who worked on this.
🎨🖼 Master of none (not the show)
I believe in picking up every single creative hobby you’ve wanted to try, just because. Even if you’re shitty at it, who cares? My usual cycle includes being deeply invested in something for like a month, getting bored, and starting all over again. I’ve gone through painting, pottery, and sewing. What’s next?
